Maxime Giroux began his career directing over 100 music videos for artists from Quebec, Canada, and France.. In 2014, he finished Félix et Meira. his third feature film, Félix and Meira. The film which stars Martin Dubrielle and won the prize for the best Canadian film at the Toronto International Festival, two prizes at the GALA du cinema Québécois
(best screenplay and most successful film abroad) and was presented in official competition at the San Sebastian festival. It is then presented in more than sixty festivals where it obtains twenty awards. The film is released in theaters in more than fifteen territories including France, the United States, Australia, Belgium, Switzerland and Taiwan. In September 2015, the film was chosen to represent Canada in the Oscar race.
