It was never a question that women are strong, I see what my mother has done. She brought my brother and I through our childhood on her own, made sure we became adults. It’s because of her we became what we are. In some ways, she made the path for us.
As for “ageless beauty,” it’s in the eyes of the beholder. On German TV, you do see older women actors.
If you look at French films, they will show older women in key roles, but in North American cinema, they don’t do that. That’s a big challenge. In contrast, when a man gets to be over 40, he’s still considered handsome. It’s absurd to me that when a woman gets older, she starts to become invisible. I think that in the time of Rubens beauty was perceived differently from today. Finally things are changing.
I have a new outlook on life. Most of all I love my wife. My wife is an exceptional person: she’s a hero.
